https://tankie.tube/videos/watch/fd5caae6-45b0-4dd5-b70c-0fdb58e6800d Ganja & Hess (1973), English with optional English subtitles, Director/Writer: Bill Gunn, Featuring: Duane Jones, Marlene Clark, Bill Gunn After being stabbed with an ancient, germ-infested knife, a doctor's assistant finds himself with an insatiable desire for blood. https://www.villagevoice.com/the-groundbreaking-bill-gunn-at-bam/ Gunn’s purest expression was 1973’s Ganja & Hess. Hired to crank out a Blacula knock-off (with a drug-joke title), Gunn instead wrote a surreal love triangle among black sophisticates, devoid of sex-machine phoniness, and directed it in a muttered, disorienting style, with a strange brew of Afro-Euro symbolism. see also: https://www.villagevoice.com/bill-gunns-revolutionary-ganja-hess-gets-the-restoration-it-deserves/ Content Warnings: U.S. rated R, Canada 14A (Alberta), 13+ (Quebec) Sex & Nudity: Severe Violence & Gore: Moderate Profanity: Moderate Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking: Moderate Frightening & Intense Scenes: Moderate 40 triggers from https://www.doesthedogdie.com/media/5289350 Sensory/Filmcraft shaky cam? sudden loud noises screaming Ratings Issues sexual content blood/gore obscene language/gestures sad ending?
