Rap Brown, one of my leaders (now known as Imam Jamil Al-Amin) rose to popularity as one of "the most articulate and outspoken critics of the Jim Crow South". Former Chairman of SNCC (Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee) and Minister of Justice for the Black Panther Party, Imam Jamil Al-Amin has become one of the many victims of the continuation of the FBI's Cointelpro. On March 16th 2000, Imam Jamil was accused and framed in the murder of an Atlanta Fulton County Sheriff's Deputy and the wounding of another. Although no scientific or physical evidence linked Imam Jamil to the scene, he was sentenced to 135 years.
