The 8pm ET deadline for Trump's ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is fast approaching, and the US President has threatened 'a whole civilisation will die' if no deal is reached. The US issued a 15-point ceasefire plan, but Iran has rejected the terms and accused the US of pretending negotiations are making headway as a front for military manouvres. Memarian says the US has done this before. He also told MEE Live's @mathildamall that the US' threats to target Iranian "civilisation" are "helping the Iranian government," by showing the Iranian people that the US is not on their side.
