<description>"If not today, when?" Activists in London explained why they were willing to risk arrest while protesting against the UK government’s ban on the direct action group Palestine Action. The protest, organised by campaign group Defend Our Juries (DOJ), was by far the largest against the government ban of Palestine Action, with an estimated 365 arrests. Participants held cardboard signs reading: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.” The government's move to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation in July has made it a criminal offence to be a member of the group or show support for them. Falling foul of the law is punishable by a sentence of up to 14 years in prison. Hundreds of protesters attended this particular protest, making it difficult for the police to arrest every single activist holding the signs.</description>
