<description>Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will pay an official visit to China from January 14 to 17 at the invitation of Premier of the State Council Li Qiang. This visit marks the first trip to China by a Canadian prime minister since 2017. CGTN Stringer interviewed people in Toronto about their impressions of China and their views on cooperation between China and Canada. Many interviewees mentioned "economy" and "powerhouse" as keywords they associate with China. Raman, a business liaison manager, believes China is the kind of partner every country hopes to have on its development path. Regarding bilateral cooperation, he commented that Prime Minister Carney's visit presents an excellent opportunity to engage with China on cooperative matters and work with the Chinese government to resolve issues like tariff policies.
