For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video A Taiwan author has devoted almost half his life to researching the story of a young man who, in the 1940s, traveled from Taiwan to Chongqing via Japan to support the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The writer is Lan Bozhou, and his protagonist is Wu Sihan. Following Taiwan's restoration in 1945, Wu recounted his wartime experience in an article, "1,000 Miles in Search of the Motherland." After first hearing the name Wu Sihan almost 40 years ago, Lan Bozhou set out to discover more about this young Chinese patriot's remarkable, inspirational, and ultimately tragic story. Stay tuned to CGTN for the documentary on October 25 to learn more about Lan Bozhou and Wu Sihan, and their devotion to the cause of national reunification. #VDay #RestoringtheHistoryofTaiwan #TaiwanRestoration80thAnniversary Subscribe to us on YouTube: https://goo.gl/lP12gA Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download our APP on Google Play (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv
