At least four people are reported to have been killed and dozens injured as clashes broke out between demonstrators, counter-protesters, and security forces. The protests followed calls by Alawite spiritual leader Sheikh Ghazal Ghazal for peaceful demonstrations against a bomb attack on a mosque on Friday, which killed eight worshippers.
