On the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, estimates of 600,000 people marched through the streets of London calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and putting pressure on the UK government to severe ties with Israel and stop the sale of arms as Israel continues it's war on Gaza – with reports of over 120 people killed in strikes on the strip overnight. Coinciding with the Nakba protest, a pro-Israel counter-protest took place near Trafalgar Square organised by Stop The Hate and Christian Action Against Antisemtism (CAAA), which had a considerably smaller attendance with approximately 200 people. Reverend Hayley Ace is the founder of CAAA, and was the only person willing to be interviewed by Middle East Eye's reporter @avawarrinerr on why they were protesting. Throughout the interview, Reverend Ace makes several claims including '20% of Muslims are radical' and that 'the Nakba didn't happen - it was an Arab army that wanted to kill jews'.
