<description>For more: https://news.cgtn.com/news/2025-11-22/China-s-2-tonne-eVTOL-completes-cross-city-test-flight-1IvK86AUsp2/p.html A China-developed 2-tonne electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft has completed a low-altitude cross-city cargo test flight in the mountainous Guizhou Province in southwest China. The aircraft, operated by Guiyang Low-Altitude Industry Development Company, flew 118 kilometers in 40 minutes, transporting emergency medicines and local specialty agricultural products between a county and Guiyang, the provincial capital. Fully powered by electricity, the eVTOL can take off and land vertically like a helicopter while producing less noise and is designed for short- and medium-range missions such as commuting, logistics and emergency rescue. The successful test flight marks a new step toward establishing regular cargo air routes in Guizhou's mountainous areas and building a three-dimensional transportation network.
