<description>For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video South Korea has announced a landmark reform to end all private overseas adoptions, following revelations of abuse and fraud spanning decades. One of those adopted, Kara Shroeder, was born in South Korea, but taken in by a U.S. family in 1976 when she was less than a year old. Over the past decade, she has relentlessly searched for her birth family. But despite her best efforts, she has not been successful. Her adoption record states that she was abandoned by her birth parents – a claim she believes may not be the full story. Kara spoke to CGTN to share her story.
