The session was led by Yoichi Jomaru, a former journalist with Asahi Shimbun. He introduced a collection of wartime Japanese newspaper reports published shortly after the fall of Nanjing, including an article from December 24, 1937, in the Nara edition of Osaka Asahi Shimbun.
