The leaders are expected to discuss discuss expanding trade, energy cooperation and defence ties, as well as regional stability. He also gifted the Sultan a TOGG, Turkey's homegrown electric car, and an indication of the deals he hopes to achieve. In the whistle-stop Gulf tour, Erdogan has signed deals with Qatar and Kuwait including agreements on defence, trade, and maritime cooperation. He also presented Kuwait's Emir with an electric car; Qatar's Emir already has one from a previous visit. It marks Erdogan’s first trip to the region in two years, though ongoing talks over Gaza have kept the leaders in close contact, bolstering Turkey’s bid to cement its diplomatic and economic foothold in the Gulf.
