In central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah, sixty girls aged 13 to 18 gather in the Voices of Tomorrow club, a rare space of colour and safety as Israel’s genocide continues to tear apart Palestinian life. Through drawing, painting, handicrafts and dialogue sessions, the club helps girls rebuild confidence after two years of relentless violence, displacement and the loss of classmates killed by Israeli attacks. Participant Rahaf Jouda says the club brought her spirit back after years of trauma, water shortages and the constant pressure of surviving under Israel’s destruction.
