In the message, Alboursh described what he called a deliberate and systematic assault on Gaza’s healthcare system, saying medical facilities have been bombed, besieged and denied essential resources. “More than 1,400 healthcare workers have been killed,” he said. “Entire families have been erased. The blockade has denied people food, water and medicine.” He said that Israel’s targeting of Gaza’s healthcare system is deliberate and pre-planned. “Israel aims to kill, destroy, commit genocide, and ethnically cleanse the Palestinian people. Its goal is fundamentally forced displacement, and it has publicly declared that.” Alboursh called on the international community to urgently intervene, protect medical teams, and push for an immediate ceasefire. “This is the hardest and most severe situation Gaza has ever faced.” “Under Fire: Israel’s War on Medics”, produced by MEE and presented by award-winning journalist Hind Hassan, investigates Israel’s attacks on the healthcare system in Lebanon and Gaza.
