Newton on his release from prison. Huey P. Newton was the featured speaker. This event advertised an appearance by Kathleen Cleaver, too, but the female voice on this recording was noted by the recorder as being Elaine Brown. The event also included live performances by the Reverend Charles Bronson, the Grateful Dead, The Lumpen, and The Vanguards, some of which appear on this recording.
