Israeli soldiers opened fire on Blida’s municipal building, where Salama was sleeping because he was on duty. The Israeli military confirmed the raid and claimed it was operating against Hezbollah infrastructure when its forces fired on a “suspect”. Despite a November ceasefire, Israel has conducted near-daily attacks on southern and eastern Lebanon and still occupies at least five locations inside Lebanese territory.
