He made the comments during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, adding that Syria is working towards a "non-aggression agreement and normalisation agreement” with Israel. Following the ouster of former President Bashar Al-Assad in December 2024, Israel began further incursions into Syrian territory, crossing the long-established disengagement lines and increasing its area of control beyond the occupied Golan Heights.
