That is literally the only metric. USA will go on and on about ‘evil’ North Korea, but they couldn’t care less about the evil being done by United Arab Emirates, Israel, Saudi Arabia… or you know… itself. Because these countries are all in the imperial orbit. The US backs and FUNDS violent, authoritarian, human rights abusers worldwide (not to mention sponsoring genocide in Palestine, DRC and Sudan). They only hate North Korea, Burkina Faso, Yemen, Iran… because they have sovereign economies free of Western influence and control. That’s it.
