On Saturday, a 13-year-old Palestinian shot at Israeli settlers who were provocatively marching through the Silwan neighbourhood in East Jerusalem openly carrying loaded guns, killing one off duty Israeli soldier and his father. Israel's President Benjamin Netanyahu announced chilling measures to boost the already enormous number of private firearms in the hands of Jewish settlers.
