https://tankie.tube/videos/watch/8b073261-0da4-4245-a609-a8a90b9785af Footage circulating online shows Saudi-backed Yemeni forces rolling out into Hadhramout province after its governor announced the launch of an operation to take back control of military sites seized by the UAE-backed separatist Southern Transition Council (STC). “It is an operation of positioning aimed at the peaceful and orderly transfer of control of military sites,” said Hadharmout governor Salem al-Khanbashi, adding that “this operation is not a declaration of war nor an attempt at escalation.” The move is the latest escalation in a rift that erupted between Saudi Arabia and the UAE in December, when the STC seized large areas in southern Yemen, bordering Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom has since called on the STC to withdraw all its troops and on Thursday struck a shipment in the port of Mukalla which it says contained Emirati weapons destined for the STC.
