        <description>In Syria’s Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees, people say conditions have been slowly improving since the fall of the Assad regime more than a year ago. “The situation is better here. I mean, people are opening bakeries, they're opening shops. We're able to keep our shops open late at night. You feel safer now,” says 23-year-old Mohammed Turkman. Nevertheless, life remains difficult for residents of the camp which, over the course of 14 years of war, has been completely destroyed. “My children and I - this is my son, he has two sons and his wife is pregnant in her last month - we're sleeping at the neighbours',” says one woman, who can’t afford to repair her damaged house.
