Presided over by Chairman Kim Jong Un, the meeting first heard a report on successes made in the first half of 2025 for implementation of state policies in all fields. The meeting examined and strategically readjusted some tasks, it also discussed accelerating the modernizing of key industrial sectors. A major decision to convene the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party received unanimous approval and measures were taken for its historic opening. Two days of sector-specific studies and consultative meetings were held, guided by the Politburo to take measures for correctly carrying out plans in the second half of the year.
