The CPJ's CEO, Jodie Ginsberg, says in New York that Israel’s targeting of journalists is “part of a broader pattern we've seen by Israel in an attempt to censor and control information coming out of Gaza". The Israeli strike killed at least 11 Palestinians, including three journalists working for the Egyptian relief committee. The journalists were identified as Mohammad Salah Qishta, Abdul Raouf Samir Shaat and Anas Ghanem. They were killed when their vehicle was struck while they were filming at a camp for displaced people run by the Egyptian committee in central Gaza. Since the ceasefire took effect on 10 October, Israel has repeatedly violated the agreement, carrying out hundreds of air strikes, arresting civilians, demolishing homes and restricting aid. The Palestinian Ministry of Health says at least 450 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire was signed. Support stories that matter.
