And it was 10 years ago that many of us traveled to Ferguson to join the righteous protests of young people determined to win justice. Instead of justice, young people were met with state violence, and the co-optation of a movement.  From poverty to police brutality – capitalism seeks to control, jail, or kill us – to advance the interests of the wealthiest. We know that until we eliminate capitalism and its inherent need for policing and mass incarceration, we have to continue to educate, organize, and fight back the disease of police terror. Today and every day, we are committed to continue saying the names of all of those whose lives have been stolen by this vicious and criminal white supremacist system, and we are committed to continuing to fight for a society where our people's needs are met and our children can walk the streets safely, free of police violence.
