Syrian government forces take control of second prison following SDF withdrawal https://tankie.tube/videos/watch/783209c9-80c2-472e-813a-ff8fed6f5402 Over 400 fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) withdrew from Al-Aqtan Central Prison in Raqqa following negotiations that lasted several days between the Syrian government and the SDF. Syrian authorities said the government’s prisons administration has now taken control of Al-Aqtan prison and that detainee files are currently under review. Al-Aqtan is the second prison to come under government control after being abandoned by the SDF. Earlier this week, Syrian troops entered Shadadi prison near the border with Iraq, from where around 120 detainees linked to the Islamic State managed to flee amid the chaos. Most of the escapees have since been recaptured, according to Syrian state media. Support stories that matter.
