It's been over 18 years since I wrote my first raps in the back of a classroom as a young and impressionable high school freshman. Nearly two decades later, I can look back on the hundreds of songs I've written and recorded with a sense of great accomplishment and gratitude. What I've experienced as an artist during this time is wrapped up with my personal growth and development. In some ways, my catalog is similar to an open book, a comprehensive autobiography which is full of contradictions and changes, ups and downs, ebbs and flows. Tomorrow, I will release my ninth full-length album, which consists of 16 songs recorded over the past two years. It will be my second LP release in just over a month, but in contrast to the recently release collaborative album 'Red Flag Revival' with Agent of Change, this project -- entitled 'Revolutionary Minded Vol. 5' -- represents a much more introspective and personal body of work. It documents many of the struggles I have been undergoing over these last few years, and as such, it is perhaps my most important work -- at least for my own spirit's well-being and nourishment. I'm humbled to be capping 2017 with the release of two albums. As it stands now, I intend to take a substantial hiatus from music to focus on other projects. This isn't necessarily the same thing as me announcing my retirement from hip-hop -- but at the moment, I have no plans to release subsequent albums. If the inspiration hits again -- which I'm fairly certain it will -- I'll return to the studio and record more music. In the meantime, I intend to continue to promote my extensive catalog of music which has spanned the past 10 years, and which I believe has been at least somewhat underappreciated. In the coming days, I will announce very exciting projects which I will be focusing on in the new year. My sincere appreciation goes to every single person who has supported my music over the years, and has taken inspiration from my artistic contributions.
