<description>The Victorian Labor Party is seeking to demolish the inner city public housing towers. This is a decision not guided by the academic literature, nor informed by the public housing tenants themselves. Rather, the Labor Party's policies are the result of collaboration with a variety of special interests, notably property developers, superannuation investors and real estate consultancy firms. Finally, the Inquiry into the redevelopment of Melbourne’s public housing towers gives some public housing tenants from their respective communities the ability to voice their concerns and opposition towards the government's plan imposed upon them. This video hopes to document this process, and garner enough attention in order to pressure the Victorian government to halt all existing demolition plans.
