British surgeons call for release of Palestinian colleagues abducted by Israeli forces https://tankie.tube/videos/watch/63ce4092-8f3c-476e-a66d-58f7db10456f Israel has killed over 1,700 healthcare workers in Gaza since 7 October 2023 and 95 Palestinian healthcare workers are currently in Israeli detention, according to Healthcare Workers Watch. British surgeons Dr Victoria Rose and Dr Graeme Groom, who volunteered in Gaza during Israel’s genocide, said several of their colleagues were abducted by Israeli forces. Dr Adnan Al-Bursh was said to have been beaten to death in Israeli detention. They called for the release of another doctor abducted by Israeli forces, Dr Mohammed Abed, whose fate remains unknown. In a video posted on social media, they called for western governments to act to end Israel’s “monstrous evil” and “repeated and murderous attacks on hospitals, healthcare facilities and people” in Gaza.
