Speaking to MEE, residents said settlers were constantly attacking them, destroying their property and water tanks and stealing or killing livestock - actions intended to make life in the community impossible. Illegal settlers in nearby outposts, under the protection of Israeli forces, are creating a constant state of fear and insecurity, forcing Palestinians to leave their homes. What is happening in Ras Ein al-Auja is not an isolated incident, but a part of a broader context of pressures targeting Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley, effectively leading to gradual forced displacement by making daily life impossible.
