During the aggression on Iran, the US-Israeli axis targeted multiple bridges, railways, and major highways in a bid to paralyse the country. These attacks on infrastructure sought to cause societal chaos, economic collapse, and cut off resources between cities. However, within days - and in some cases, overnight - Iranian engineers and construction crews rebuilt some of the most critical infrastructure. While some bridges and roads still need to be fixed, the Iranians demonstrated their strength by quickly recovering from US-Israeli attacks within hours or days. Why is this a big deal? Let's compare this to the US. In 2024, the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed. A bridge that once facilitated 30,000 commuters daily has still not been fixed - in fact, it is projected to be restored in 2030, 6 years after its collapse. The difference? The US is a financial powerhouse with endless money. Iran is one of the most sanctioned countries on earth. The former invests all of its money into weapons that it cannot even win wars with, while the latter directs more focus toward domestic needs, even as it maintains a strong emphasis on defence.
