<description>Torrential rain in Beijing's suburban Miyun District left 48 elderly residents stranded at a care center in Taishitun Town on July 28. As floodwaters rose and strong currents prevented large rescue equipment from reaching the site, trapped residents were seen calling for help from their windows. Firefighters wearing protective gear swam through debris-filled waters and used ropes to create a life-saving passage. After hours of effort, all 48 residents were safely evacuated to secure areas.
