(For Educational and Illustrative Purposes ONLY) I’m bipolar, and at the height of this episode I recorded myself intensely talking through political ideas, connections, and beliefs that felt completely urgent and obvious to me in the moment. I’m sharing this because mania and psychosis are often misunderstood. They are not just “being energetic,” “acting crazy,” or “having strong opinions.” They can look like racing thoughts, pressured speech, extreme confidence, paranoia, grand patterns, emotional intensity, and a complete inability to recognize how far from baseline you are. (Do NOT take these political opinions seriously!) This is vulnerable to post, but I think people need to see what it can actually look like. Please watch with empathy.
