On Thursday, the Israeli military issued forced expulsion orders for residents of large areas of northern Gaza, including Beit Lahiya and the Jabalia refugee camp. An army spokesperson warned that the areas are now “considered dangerous combat zones”, as the Israeli army is set to “significantly expand its military activity in the areas”. Earlier this month Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the “inevitable outcome” of the Israeli army’s destruction of Gaza will be the forced expulsion of Palestinians from the territory. Addressing the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Netanyahu said Israeli forces are “destroying more and more homes” and that the “only inevitable outcome will be the wish of Gazans to emigrate outside of the Gaza Strip”, Maariv reported.
