Endlessly struggling to feel seen, David becomes infatuated with a mysterious company's promise to transform people's lives by permanently changing the color of their eyes. There's some transphobia from his mother at 16:25 - 17:15 . That whole conversation does- lead me to wonder about what his actual issues with his body are. The doc moves on from any gender talk very quickly though. The doctor is as sketchy as you can imagine, there's an Asian guy who clearly does not understand what they are telling him. The doctor even says he wouldn't do it himself and wouldn't recommend it to his family. They do surgery on multiple people in the same OR. Its like a trainwreck you can't look away, would recommend.
