As this year's Guest of Honor country, Georgia is leveraging the expo to its fullest. "We see CIIE as one of the most important platforms to promote Georgian goods in China," Mamukelashvili stated. He highlighted that Georgian companies have been participating since 2018, and the event has directly generated export deals and strong B2B connections with Chinese buyers. A significant part of the discussion centered on Georgia's 8,000-year winemaking history. Mamukelashvili elaborated on the unique use of traditional qvevri (underground clay vessels) which gives Georgian wine its distinctive flavor and aroma. Looking forward, e-commerce is a key priority.
