In a statement, Syria’s Foreign Ministry condemned the “illegitimate visit” and said that it is “a grave violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.” The ministry reiterated a call for Israel to withdraw from Syria, and called on the international community to follow its mandate to pressure Israel to follow international law.
