There’s no plan under the capitalist system to protect our water. Or our natural resources. Or our agriculture. Under capitalism, the only plan in place is to maximize profits for the few. We can only take action at the scale and speed necessary to save our planet from the disastrous effects of climate change if the unplanned, capitalist economic system is replaced by socialist economic planning. Our campaign calls for fossil fuel corporations to immediately be taken over by the public and repurposed to generate renewable energy, and for the vast landholdings and technological resources available to the agribusiness corporations to be seized and turned over to farmers to implement a democratically-determined plan to reorganize food production on a sustainable basis!
