<description>The China Coast Guard (CCG) conducted an emergency rescue of a Filipino fisherman stranded in waters near China's Huangyan Dao in the South China Sea on December 25. The fisherman, who had been waving a sign reading "Help Me," was discovered by the CCG, according to a video released by the agency. The footage shows Chinese rescuers providing the fisherman with water and ship biscuits. According to the CCG, the man had been trapped at sea for over three days and nights due to engine failure. When asked about his departure and destination, he responded, "Subic," a bay located northwest of the Philippine capital, Manila. After providing water and food, the CCG informed the nearest Philippine Coast Guard vessel and urged them to carry out an immediate rescue operation via radio message.
