However, she never expected that her place of refuge would become a new source of fear. In a sudden attack, Hajjaj was bitten by a rat inside her tent, finding herself dealing with compounded pain, not just from the wound itself, but from the risk it poses to her health. With diabetes, wounds become more complicated and slower to heal, which heightens the concern for her life. Basil Al-Dahnoun, 47, was also injured after being bitten by a rat inside his tent, leading to a significant deterioration in his health and leaving him unable to move.
