<description>#China #US #Afghanistan #PovertyAlleviation As a women-led grass-root organization, CODEPINK has spent decades opposing the US wars and militarism in other countries. Recently, several members, including the co-founder of @CODEPINK, Medea Benjamin, organized a peaceful protest at the headquarter of PBS, demanding them to stop censoring a documentary about how poverty alleviation was carried out in China. It was not the first campaign it organized to oppose US aggression on China. In this episode, I interviewed Medea Benjamin and Madison Tang from CODEPINK. We had a discussion on why they believe seeing information about poverty alleviation in China is important, the need to stop US sanctions and interventions in countries like Afghanistan, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea and Iran, and the ramifications like growing Asian hate due to US's foreign policies.
