The project will connect hydropower and new energy from the upper reaches of the Jinsha River to the ultra-high voltage alternating current backbone grid in central China. The line spans 1,901 kilometers across the Xizang Autonomous Region, Sichuan Province, Chongqing Municipality and Hubei Province.
