He explained that the UN mission would be responsible for supervising the ceasefire and implementing the related UN decision, with its structure, duration, and mechanisms to be determined in the coming period. Al-Hayya noted that progress had been made in reaching a consensus on the next stage of governance in Gaza. He confirmed that an administrative committee, proposed by mediators, will take charge of managing Gaza’s affairs. According to him, Egypt presented a list of potential national figures for the committee, which Hamas accepted, emphasising that the group is ready to hand over administrative responsibilities entirely to qualified and respected individuals from Gaza.
