This isn't an issue separate from the workplace, but integral to improving working class conditions. As such, unions have a strong and proud history of spearheading struggles for affordable, abundant, safe and secure housing for all. The Renters and Housing Union is apart of that tradition, organising rentals as labour unions organise the workplace. Like how bosses need the labour-power of their workers, landlords need the rent from their tenants. Collectively, we can use this leverage to win local issues like lower rent or larger issues like a renewal of mass public housing construction. Join RAHU today to fight for a better future.
