China's ecological conservation efforts have rescued this unique species, which once disappeared completely from its native land. At the Jiangsu Dafeng Milu Deer Nature Reserve, thanks to population monitoring, science-based feeding, and refined habitat management, milu deer have returned to their homeland and are growing steadily in numbers. The evolutionary history of the milu deer dates back two to three million years. The species vanished in China for decades, leaving only 18 individuals surviving in Europe. The milu deer was reintroduced to China in 1986. Andrew Loudon, a professor at the University of Manchester, traveled far and wide with Chinese conservationists to select the ideal habitat for the deer's homecoming. Upholding the philosophy of ecological conservation, generations of guardians remain devoted to the reserve. Researchers and rangers continue to track the deer's population size, health, and migration patterns, while adopting scientific feeding and comprehensive conservation management. This cross-continental journey to protect milu deer serves as a vivid reflection of China's overall ecological planning. A systematic framework for nature conservation has been taking shape, restoring mountain and wilderness habitats, revitalizing rare wildlife populations, and restoring the ecological cycle to its inherent balance. This governance practice of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature offers a gentle, practical Eastern model for the sustainable development of global nature, allowing wildlife to thrive and live harmoniously not only in China's national parks but also on this beautiful, blue planet. 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download our APP on Google Play (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video Most watched videos: Impossible Challenge: 30 seconds to count banknotes BLINDFOLDED https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmP_Ybj-jws Impossible Challenge: Gymnastics Boy Arat Hosseini from Iran! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sxX--U4c8w Impossible Challenge: How to calm babies in 5 seconds? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kR3q9sXM7WA
