Meanwhile, Emma Lady Pole is desperate to communicate her and Stephen's plight to Arabella, though she is enchanted against doing so by her speech being turned into nonsense. This desperation leads Lady Pole to create an embroidery depicting the Palace of Lost-Hope and the endless dance with herself, Black, and the Gentleman all depicted.
