The Molotov cocktail set the house ablaze while the family was inside, killing 18-month-old Ali Dawabsheh from severe burns. His parents, Saad and Riham, later died from their injuries, and his infant brother was seriously wounded. This attack was a deliberate act of terror aimed at intimidating Palestinians and expanding settler presence. Following the attack, a video surfaced showing Israelis holding a mock wedding celebration to “honor” the killing of the baby. This “wedding of hate” involved chants and slogans praising the attack, knives and mock weapons.
