The factory's manager, Riyad Al-Muqadma, explained that before the war the company would manufacture six to eight tons of biscuits per day. However, after the ceasefire in October, production resumed at limited capacity. "We only work three to five days a month,” Al-Muqadma said. The diminished production is due to both the cost of fuel and the reduction of about 70 percent of its employees.
