According to local reports, armed settlers attacked homes on the outskirts of the village under the protection of Israeli forces. Soldiers and settlers then opened fire on residents. Bara Khairy Ali Maali, 20, was taken to the Palestine Medical Complex after sustaining a critical chest injury during the shooting, where he succumbed to his wounds shortly afterwards.
