According to the publisher and author Agnieszka Piwar, a representative of the Royal Castle administration and the fair's organizer, Father Roman Szpakowski, ordered them to close their stand and leave. The organizers cited a fair regulation allowing them to restrict publications that do not match the event's character. Piwar says they were told their books were considered antisemitic. The publisher argued they had a pre-approved and paid stand. The books specifically mentioned in reports include Piwar's "The Holocaust of the Palestinians" and another title about Jewish attempts to take over the Al-Aqsa compound. The organizers did not provide specific arguments for how the publisher violated the regulations. The incident sparked a debate about freedom of speech and the responsibility of publishers.
