<description>"Our cell was awoken with threats of rape." Noa Avishag Schnall, a Jewish-American photojournalist who reported from the Conscience vessel of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, has given her testimony of the conditions in Israeli detention after she and 150 others were captured in international waters by Israeli naval forces last week. Talking to the camera with a visibly bruised eye, she described being targeted by guards, and that she was "hung from the metal shackles on [her] wrists and ankles and beaten on [her] stomach, back, face, ear, and skull." All activists on board the Conscience and Thousand Madleen sailboats have now been released from Israeli authorities. However the blockade on Gaza's shores continues, with international organisations like the UN pressing Israel to open up the borders, to flood the strip with much-needed aid.</description>
